Petromax Charcoal Maker

Description
With the Petromax Charcoal Maker you become your own charcoal burner. This stainless steel canister uses the same principle as a traditional charcoal kiln, low-oxygen combustion or pyrolysis, so you can turn your own chopped wood into hardwood charcoal right in the campfire.
Fill it with fruit wood, birch or beech from the garden, seal the lid and place it in the fire, even while your Dutch oven cooks above it. The charcoal you make has a long glowing time, low smoke and burns hot, and you choose the wood, so you choose the smoke flavour.

How to use
Fill the canister with logs or twigs, close the cover and set it in the fire. Within a few hours yellow smoke appears, turning white towards the end. Remove it from the fire, let it cool overnight, and the next morning your charcoal is ready. Clean inside with mild detergent, water and a cloth.
