Description

The Opinel No 8 Black Oak is the black edition of the iconic Opinel knife. The blade and safety ring are given a PVD coating, which improves corrosion resistance and is safe for food contact. The varnished handle is oak from French forests.

It offers excellent cutting quality, and the Virobloc safety ring lets you work without risk. A striking design and a memorable gift.

Specifications

Blade length 8.5cm
Steel Martensitic stainless steel, 55-57 HRC
Finish Matt black PVD coating

The matt black blade

The black blade is more resistant to rust than a classic stainless blade, but more sensitive to scratching. Avoid abrasive products or scouring sponges when cleaning it.

Care tips

Wipe it clean and dry after use, and avoid long contact with acids, salt water or detergent.

Over 18s only. We will not sell knives to anyone under 18. Under UK law it is illegal to carry a lock knife, a fixed-blade knife, or a folding knife with a blade over 3 inches in public without good reason.

Ideal for

Gifts, picnics, camp kitchens and collectors.
